Exhibitions Archive

The Exhibitions Archive encompasses records from large thematic exhibitions to smaller informative or educational ones, as well as virtual/online exhibitions. Over 700 exhibitions are recorded. The first exhibition in the Ethnographic Museum was set up in 1920 by Vladimir Tkalčić, its first Curator, with the help of illustrator Zdenka Sertić and Božidar Širola. Over the years, the Museum has changed several permanent exhibitions. The first exhibition in 1922 was followed by changes in 1934, 1935, 1946, 1950, and the permanent exhibition from 1972, with several changes in the 1990s, 2018, 2021, is still on display.
